Two Weeks left...

Two weeks from today we will be loading the trailers. Two weeks from tomorrow we will be hitting the road bright and early in the morning. It's hard to believe the time is almost here! We have lots to do in the meantime....seems like every day is packed with things we have to get done and we fall into bed exhausted.

We look foward to seeing anyone who wants to help us move!

Update--Mid April

We have been busy the past few weeks! We continue to pack a little each day and are down to the basics now! I'm finishing up my two master's courses and trying to wind down the school year. My last day will be 5/6. Kids' last day will be 5/8. We will be packing up on 5/9 and hitting the road on Sunday, May 10th.

In the meantime, we're also coordinating the utilities being turned on, buying our Texas toll tags for the freeway system and working with Steven's school to coordinate our first IEP meeting in Texas. The days are just flying by!

We're looking forward to seeing our friends on 5/7 from 7-9pm at Dave & Buster's in Tempe. We hope to see everyone there!

What a difference a week makes!

Last week at this time, I was frustrated at the house search. A week later, we have found the new house, registered the kids at school, previewed Steven's classroom, interviewed for a job and ironed out details of the move! WOW! No wonder I'm so tired!

The moving trailers will arrive on 5/7. We will load on 5/9 and leave town on 5/10 or 5/11. We will arrive in Texas on 5/12. We have Steven's IEP scheduled for 5/13. Our stuff will arrive sometime 5/14 or 5/15. We'll get unpacked and the kids will start school on Monday, 5/18. Since we are arriving before the end of the school year, Steven will qualify for extended school year part of the summer! That should help him stay in a routine and help the rest of us stay sane:)

We're trying to get back into our routines this week, but it's been challenging. Megan's school had a chlorine bomb explode Monday morning and lost power for part of the day on Tuesday. We also had to put down our kitty, Pearl, yesterday.
